The picturesque city of Kamloops, British Columbia, became the backdrop for a fairytale wedding that felt straight out of a Disney movie. I had the honor of capturing the magical moments of this Disney-inspired wedding at the stunning Coast Hotel and the enchanting Riverside Park. Congratulations to Sam & Matt and thank you for having me along to document your day. I did step in just a couple days prior to the wedding date so there wasn’t really any time to prep my regular itinerary, but this wedding felt like coming home. There is something to be said about flying by the seat of your pants and improvising to the best of your abilities.
Venue Showcase:
Coast Hotel Kamloops: Where Dreams Begin
Nestled against the scenic backdrop of Kamloops, the Coast Hotel served as the perfect venue to kickstart this enchanting journey. Capturing the moments before the ceremony was so important to these two. So we really went all out!
The magic of this Disney-inspired wedding wasn't just in the decor and the venues; it was in the raw, genuine emotions that filled the air during the ceremony. As I stood behind the lens, I witnessed the following emotional moments:
As the bride walked down the aisle, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Her grace and beauty left everyone in awe, and you could feel the anticipation and love in the air. And of course Matt’s reaction was priceless. This is why I always wear two camera’s for the ceremony. The most efficient way to get both the bride walking down the aisle and the groom’s reaction.
When the couple exchanged their vows, it was as if time stood still. Their promises to each other were deeply heartfelt and sincere, touching the hearts of everyone present.Both the bride and groom couldn't hold back tears of joy as they said their "I do's." These tears were a testament to the love they shared and the journey they were embarking on together.
In every photograph captured during the ceremony, you can see the genuine love and emotion that filled the day. It's these emotional moments that make wedding photography so special and memorable.
Romantic Riverside Park: A Dreamy Outdoor Escape
After the ceremony, I whisked the couple away to Riverside Park in downtown Kamloops. With its lush greenery, serene river views, and charming pathways, Riverside Park added an extra layer of magic to the day's festivities.
